About me

My earliest memory about writing is from my days at the University of Western Ontario; an English professor wanted to put my name forward to the writer in residence. I instead opted for a diploma in Radio Broadcasting; missed opportunity.

I wrote my first manuscript in my 20s then put it aside for what was considered “a proper job” – which I never really found; wine writer sounded more fun.

I re-discovered my love for writing in my 50s. Unearthing old manuscripts and finding fresh ideas. I have since written several full-length novels and multiple short and flash fiction pieces for competitions such as NYC Midnight; placing in the top 10 in my grouping several times.

Inspirational books from my youth include “Little Men” (Louisa May Alcott) and “Charlotte’s Web” (E. B. White). Moving on to more adult material from Robert B. Parker, David Baldacci, and Jonathan Kellerman. An admirer of Stephen King and his book “On Writing”, I have both read and listened to it, and each time I do, I retain something new.

I sit and write early; by 6am most mornings I’m at my writing table; my best days start with me killing someone by 8 (on paper, of course).
