My characters visit with me in the early morning hours, when I do my writing, creative is a morning activity, editing is for the cruel light of day.

These characters tell me the story as it unfolds. I do not know the story until it flows from my pen onto the paper. It’s less of a plan and more a learning experience. For me, creating is all about discovery. This way of telling the story is as important for me as it is for the reader, because if I know too far in advance where the story is going, so too will the readers – it will be telegraphed miles in advance.

I am a novelist and storyteller of both mysteries and thrillers (mainly).

The stories are short, the ideas are not. They don’t always follow my ethos. Not all are mysteries or thrillers. Some are comedic, others dramatic. Some are science, all are fiction.
